This little guy just looked so sad.

We like going to zoos. We have been to four so far in Florida and the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. I went to the San Diego Zoo when I was 12 and we hope to go again this year when we go out west to visit the kids. I have been posting images from the Jacksonville Zoo the past few days. I don't mean to keep pounding you with animal pictures but it so happens that we visited the Brevard Zoo this weekend so I guess you are going to get some for a few days.

Recently, Reba and I took a weekend away and visited the zoo in Jacksonville Fl. We have a few very nice zoos here in Florida and Jacksonville so far is my favorite. They have an screened in area full of birds that visitors can enter. This particular species was very friendly and would come up to you while you were sitting and start going through pockets looking for food.

Our son and daughter-in-law came down a couple of weeks ago. My daughter-in-law grew up out west and hasn't seen many gators. We took a trip down the river last time they were here but saw none that day. This time we figured we would go to Gatorland. There was no way we could miss. All in all, even though it was very hot, it was a fun day. The next few days will be photos from our visit.

I am a big Chicago Cubs fan. We sometimes get up to Chicago to see a game or two but haven't been able to for the past couple of years. This year they were playing in Miami on my birthday so my present from Reba was tickets to a couple of games. While there, we also got to visit the old neighborhood where Reba grew up. It has changed a lot.

I've been slacking again. I have been taking some photos though so not completely goofing off. I'm going to attempt to get caught up a little. I have a bunch of backlogged stuff so will probably start posting something every day for a while.
I recently had a chance to do some live performance shots. The act was a Frank Sinatra tribute band. I wasn't terribly impressed with the guy doing Frank but there were some really good players.

I really have no excuse for not keeping this somewhat updated. I just forget sometimes. I'll try to do better. A couple of weeks ago, I had a two day bass tournament on Lake Okeechobee. Reba went with me to get sway for a couple of days and hopefully lie out by the pool and relax. Unfortunately, it rained most of the first day but it was better for her the second. I caught a bunch of fish but couldn't find the big ones. We did get to do a little driving around and sightseeing while we were there.

For years, Reba and I have been talking about taking the train to Winter Park for the annual art festival. This year we finally did it. I used to go to every year since a neighbor of ours was an artist who exhibited every year, and for a few years, my sister had a booth. It got to be so crowded though that the traffic issues made it difficult and I hadn't been in years. It was much easier this way since the train station is adjacent to the park where the festival is held.
I didn't take a lot of photos while there simply because it is not really a good idea to photograph peoples art work. They get a little touchy and I can't blame them. However, about a block away from the exhibits, there was a little tobacco shop on Park Ave. This man was sitting outside rolling cigars by hand. It was very interesting to watch.
